In 1989, the Golf Properties Marketing Group was founded at CB Richard Ellis, addressing the absence of a dedicated team for selling golf courses and related properties anywhere in the country. The focus has been on golf course brokerage for the past 36 years, specializing primarily in existing golf course sales, marketing of golf development parcels and master-planned residential golf communities.
Insight Golf was established in 2008 and is led by industry veteran, Jon Knudson.
Jon Knudson started as a Marketing Specialist at CB Richard Ellis and initially played a critical role in the creation and dissemination of marketing materials. But by 2001, Mr. Knudson earned the title of Vice President at CBRE and received the “Rookie Broker of the Year” award in the Phoenix region. Since then, Jon has been instrumental in forming a dynamic network of buyers and sellers, making him one of the most experienced golf course brokers globally. With 27 years of experience in this niche industry, he continues to represent various segments, including:

- Golf course developers and operators
- Financial institutions dealing with foreclosed golf properties
- Real estate subsidiaries of large corporations
- Real estate investment trusts
- Pension fund managers
